Community and charity

We actively participate in our local Chambers of Commerce to identify specific local needs that we can help address.

Our continued success in the annual ABFI Health, Safety and Environment awards also enables us to make financial donations to local charities selected by our employees. For instance, we support our local community food banks including packing produce and helping with distribution for Yolo Food Bank. Our Woodland site also donates time and money to Empower Yolo who offer crisis support and outreach services to families and young people in our community. In addition we help with a range of activities like donating work clothes or school items. 

Previously, we have also donated to Environmental Family Services and provided their young adults leaving foster care with interview support and mentorship.

In Evansville, we support Young & Established a local organization that encourages young people to be community leaders. We help them by collecting funds and we volunteer our time to mentor young people or work in their community gardens.

In the past, we have also assisted Evansville Rescue Mission, who help people overcome addiction, poverty and homelessness, and Cast for Kids, an organization that enriches the lives of children with special needs through fishing and offers them experiences they may not have been able to access otherwise.
